Configuration
In order to support full spectrum offshore operations including construction and installation, hook-up and commissioning and repair and maintenance activities, the ARVs are fitted with cranes (50t-80t) and strengthened decks to land equipment and materials for maintenance, repair, modification and small modules to upgrade facilities. The vessels can be used as mobile offshore construction facilities.
Equipped with a DPII system and high freeboard, ARVs are able to conduct operational support tasks in a safe environment with a high-time availability linked to the facility, be it FPSO, platform or other, under construction or work-over upgrade.
The DP II classified vessels use a number of independent reference systems including differential GPS, acoustic HPR and fan beam laser to maximise safety and optimise operational uptime. Linked in to this system is the dynamic gangway which provides a safe, efficient walk to work transfer system, again achieving excellent ‘uptime’ statistics. The Offshore Access System (or OAS) operational statistics can be viewed on the link below. The vessel crane is also man-rider capable.

Further facilitating workforce transfer, ARVs are fitted with a helideck, suitable for Sikorsky S61 and Super Puma, which can be configured to provide a refueling capability. Safety features of the vessel in addition to those mentioned above include onboard hospital, Fast Rescue Craft, FiFi monitor and full-field evacuation capabilities for emergencies and weather conditions such as hurricanes and cyclones.
ARVs provide full onboard workshop, storage and prefabrication facilities with approximately 3000m² of protected, all weather deck space which can be configured to suit project needs.
