ARV Concept
The quality of accommodation, services and recreational facilities make the accommodation repair vessels suitable for deployment throughout the globe.
In order that the accommodation repair vessels provide sufficient capabilities to support offshore construction and installation, hook-up and commissioning activities, they have been fitted with active dynamic cranes (80 Tonne to 150 Tonne) and strengthened decks to land equipment and materials for maintenance, repair, modification and possibly small modules to upgrade facilities.
The vessel can be used as a mobile offshore construction facility for small to medium work tasks within the capacity of deck loadings and crane dynamics.
In addition to it’s primary role as an accommodation repair vessel facility, it has DP II classification and this coupled with the active heave compensated crane, provides a platform from which offshore installation, hook-up and commissioning operations can be conducted in a safe environment with a high time availability linked to the fixed facility under construction or work-over upgrade.
The DP II Classified vessels use a number of independent reference systems including differential GPS, acoustic HPR and fan beam laser to maximise safety and optimise operational “uptime”.
